Environmental Excellence Awards

I was very honored to go to the Arizona Forward Environmental Excellence Awards on March 8. The AZ Waterbot was nominated in the Environmental Education and Communication category, so the team and I got to dress up and attend!

L-R: Dr. Claire Lauer (UX Architect for AZ Waterbot), me, Briana Rajan (technical architect for the first year of Waterbot), Danielle Storey (researcher and contributor to Waterbot).

It was great to see current and past members of the team in one place, including original technical architect Briana Rajan.

It was also great to see Lara Van Lith, who contributed to Waterbot at the very early stages of Waterbot’s life. She won the Rising Star award! Congrats to Lara!

Waterbot did not win its category, but we were still honored to be a finalist. Congratulations to Kids on the Colorado River and the Town of Queen Creek for their winning projects in the category!

Overall, it was a wonderful night, and I was very happy to be there. Thank you to Arizona Forward for such a great event!
