I am deeply honored that I have the closing word on ASU’s “AI from the Experts” video. I feel like they captured my thoughts well:
People look at all of AI and they say, like, “I am personally not ready for this,” and that’s OK. You might not be – and you might not need to be ready for it. And that’s where education comes in. You need to know if it’s going to matter; how it’s going to matter. It’s just very uneven. It’s like William Gibson’s quote: “The future is already here, it’s just unevenly distributed.”

Thank you to EJ Hernandez for interviewing me! Here’s the video:
I was also quoted from that same interview in an article by Marshall Terrill about AI for Sustainability purposes about Waterbot. I’m happy that he captured this quote: “It’s a capacity-building tool for giving information to the public in ways that we couldn’t do before. It’s not the solution to every problem, but it’s the solution to one little corner of that problem.” Thank you to Marshall!
