I’m honored to announce that I have a new article published with Anya Hommadova Lu on an ethnographic/longitudinal study of motivations for gameplay over time in a mobile video game. The Journal of Gaming and Virtual Worlds published the piece. The work built out of the New Media and Society article that Anya and I worked on regarding gaming at work. We have a couple of book chapters coming out regarding this data before we put the project to rest; it’s been a fun and exciting research project that has expanded my theoretical horizons significantly. Thanks to Anya for inviting me to be part of the project!
